Users with the required permissions now have the ability to add Tag Values to their Project Templates. This will be rolled out to other areas of the platform at a later date.
These Tag Values extend the search function, allowing a user to filter projects and project templates by terms not necessarily present in the project or project template name.
Creating and managing Tags
A user with the required administration permissions can create a Tag by navigating the left hand menu under Administration and selecting the Tags. In the top right corner of the page there will be a '+New Tag' button which allows the user to name a new Tag and associate a Tag with Entity or Platform area.
From the actions menu for each Tag you can edit the Tag properties (the name), or delete the Tag.
Please note that currently you can only delete a tag if it has no associated Tag Values.
Creating and managing Tag Values
To create or edit Tag Values click on the Actions button and 'Edit Value'. The user can add a new Tag Value by clicking the '+New Tag Value' button. You will be asked to add the value and the click Save.
From the Edit Value modal you can edit the Tag Value, or delete the Tag Value.
Assigning Tags to Project Templates
Users with access to Project Templates can assign Tag Values during the creation of a Project Template. Tag Values that have previously been defined can be selected on the General Settings page of the create Project Template modal.
After a Project Template has been created, Tag Values can be added or changed by editing the Project Template, and navigating to the General Settings page of the modal.
Filtering by Tag Values
When selecting a Project Template to begin a Project from, it is possible to filter by Tag Value. Simply select the relevant Tag Values when defining the type of Project and hit search, to filter the Project Template list.
