There might be some situations when processing payments in your form where you want to have the ability to accept discount codes (Vouchers) from your clients.
Creating and managing Vouchers in the SYNTAQ application is easy!
We will outline the different types of discount codes available to you as a form builder:
- Percentage-based [Percentage]: Discount a certain percentage amount from the total.
- Dollar-based [Fixed]: Discount a certain dollar amount from the total.
Setting up your discount Voucher codes
Prior to these steps, you will need to have created a form that has payments Enabled. When you have configured your forms for payment you will see that all Payment pages have a Enter Voucher Code button available by default.
The steps below should be followed for both percentage-based (Percentage) and dollar-based (Fixed) Vouchers.
To begin, Click on Vouchers in the Main Menu. this will take you to the Voucher Page where you will create and manage your Vouchers.
To create the new Voucher, click on the "+New Voucher" button.
Now it's simply a matter of completing the fields in the form.
Key | This is the Voucher code which is generated by the system. By default, this cannot be modified. |
Discount Type | Select either Percentage or Fixed. |
Value | This is either the $ value or the % value that will be applied when the client uses the voucher as part of the payment process. |
No. of uses | Defines how many times this voucher code can be used. If this is left blank then no limit will be applied. |
Expiry | This is a date when the voucher code will expire. |
Description | Description of the voucher. |
Restrict Voucher Usage | As a form builder you might want to restrict the vouchers usage to a particular form. Select the checkbox to set these values. |
Entity Name | This is the name of the form the voucher will be restricted to. |
Entity Type | This is the type of entity associated with the form. This could be either a 'form' or a 'wizard' |
