Project templates that have been deployed to your tenancy are located on the Templates > Projects page under the Project Subscriptions tab.
Here, a Tenant admin will be able to see each release deployed to them and the environment the release was deployed to.
A Deployment must be both Active and Shared to a User (either individually or as part of a Team) before a Project can be started from that Project Subscription Deployment.
Make the Deployment Active
To make a specific deployed template available to their users, a Tenant admin will need to:
- Locate the Project Subscription in the table making sure to choose the template in the correct environment
- Select Deployments from the Actions menu
- Locate the deployed version, making sure to select the correct version from the list, and then from the Deployment's action menu, select edit
- Change the status to Active
- If there is another Deployment of that Project Subscription that is already Active, it should automatically revert to InActive
You can follow the same steps and change the status on the Deployment to Deferred if you would like to keep the previous deployment accessible.
When editing the Deployment's status the Tenant admin also has the option to provide a comment on why that Deployment is in its current status. This will then be viewable by the Template owner.
Share the Deployed Project template
The Tenant admin will also need to make sure the Active template is shared with the relevant set of users. This can be done at any point in the process above, but we recommend it is done before changing the status of a Deployment to Active.
The default sharing settings for all current and future Deployments of a particular Subscription can be viewed and changed by selecting the Share option from the Subscription's Action menu.
If a particular Deployment needs to have its sharing settings changed, that can be achieved by selecting the Share option from the Deployment's Action menu.
In both cases, a sharing modal will appear and the Tenant admin will be able to share the deployed template to the Users and Teams that need to be able to start a Project from it.
Define Tags
In addition to Sharing settings and deployment status, the Tenant admin also has the ability to set Tags for the Project Subscription. Like Sharing, this can be done at either the Subscription level, by selecting Tags from the Subscription's Action menu, or at the individual deployment level, by selecting Tags from the Deployment's Action menu.
In both cases the Tag modal will appear, and from there the Tags for that Subscription will be able to be set.
